Banana Exporter from India
Vaagai Vriksham Ventures supplies fresh banana for export from Tamil Nadu, South India — sweet Cavendish/G9 for mainstream retail and ripening programmes, the larger plantain-type Nendran, and raw green banana for processing and vegetable use. Fruit is harvested mature-green and moved under reefer for arrival in condition.

Fresh Produce Export
Origin & character
Tamil Nadu is one of India's leading banana regions, and we draw on that depth to ship the three forms buyers ask for most. Cavendish/G9 is the long, sweet dessert banana that drives volume in retail and through ripening programmes. Nendran is the larger, starchier South Indian plantain-type banana, prized both ripe and as a cooking banana. Raw green banana is the firm, unripened nut used as a vegetable and in processing. Varieties, grades and finger sizes are indicative and confirmed per order.
Grades & pack sizes
Fruit is selected and graded before packing so each consignment ships to an agreed finger length, hand size and grade. Packing is to your specification in telescopic export cartons, typically around 13–14.5 kg net, with cluster or hand presentation and pack counts confirmed at quotation. Cavendish/G9 is graded for the clean, even hands retail expects; Nendran and raw green banana are packed to suit cooking and processing use. All weights and counts are indicative and confirmed per order.
Reefer, ripening & cold chain
Banana is a chill-sensitive fruit, so it is harvested at the mature-green stage and moved under reefer / cold-chain at approximately 13.5°C — a set point that holds the fruit green and dormant through the voyage. Ripening is then carried out at destination by your ripener or distributor under controlled conditions, which gives you full command of shelf life and merchandising. Reefer temperature, ventilation and humidity are coordinated with your forwarder per consignment.
MOQ, packing & shipping
Banana is available across the year from Tamil Nadu; availability is indicative and confirmed per order, with fruit selected to your grade and size band at booking. Order volumes start from approximately one 20ft reefer load, and LCL or mixed loads can be consolidated ex-Chennai alongside our other fresh lines such as Alphonso and Banganapalli mango and red and pink onion. Quantities, sizes and HS codes are confirmed per order at quotation.
Export documentation
We provide the full origin documentation set — commercial invoice with HS code, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation/ISPM-15 where applicable, and CoA/lab reports — and full export documentation is available on request. For active shipments to Qatar, we provide the origin documentation your Qatar MoPH Certificate of Conformity and WATHEQ registration require; fresh fruit and vegetables enter Qatar duty-free under the GCC Unified Customs Law. As we enter the Malaysia market, we can issue the preferential certificate of origin (AIFTA Form AI), which can reduce a Malaysian buyer's import duty, alongside the origin documentation your MAQIS import permit and phytosanitary clearance require.
