India to Malaysia

Malaysia is a market we are entering, and our focus is supplying the staples of South Indian kitchens to buyers serving the diaspora and the wider market. We offer Tamil rice varieties from the Thanjavur and Cauvery delta, valued for their grain character and traditional culinary use across daily meals, biryani and festive cooking, alongside Erode and Salem turmeric known for its bright colour and long-standing place in South Indian cooking. Our role is to put origin-true produce, sourced from the Tamil Nadu and Kerala growing belts, in front of Malaysian buyers.

We work with distributors, importers and retail buyers, and we partner on private-label and OEM programmes under our consumer brand Farmigo or under your own label. For Malaysian retail we can prepare Bahasa Malaysia label artwork so packs read correctly on shelf, and we tailor pack sizes and assortments to your channel. Talk to us about a distributor relationship or a private-label range and we will scope it around your catalogue, your price points and your launch timeline.

Shipping moves ex-Chennai. Full-container loads start from roughly one 20ft container, and smaller or mixed requirements are consolidated into LCL loads so you can combine fresh produce, rice and spices in a single shipment. Reefer / cold-chain shipping is arranged per consignment and coordinated with your forwarder, and all volumes and timings are indicative and confirmed per order. This lets newer buyers start at a manageable size and scale up as the range proves out.

On compliance, a preferential certificate of origin (AIFTA Form AI) can reduce a Malaysian buyer's import duty, and we provide the origin documentation your Malaysia MAQIS import permit and phytosanitary clearance require. Each consignment can be supported with a commercial invoice carrying the HS code, packing list, certificate of origin including AIFTA Form AI, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation / ISPM-15 records, and CoA or lab reports. HS codes are confirmed at quotation and full export documentation is available on request. Where a buyer's tender calls for specific certification programmes, these can be arranged for qualifying orders on request.

FAQ

Good to know

What can you export to Malaysia?
South Indian fresh fruit and vegetables, Tamil rice varieties from the Thanjavur and Cauvery delta, and Erode and Salem turmeric and whole or ground spices — supplied loose for distributors, or packed under our Farmigo brand or your own private label. Specific items and grades are confirmed per order.
Do you ship full containers or smaller quantities?
Both. Full-container loads start from around one 20ft container ex-Chennai, and smaller or mixed requirements are consolidated into LCL loads so produce, rice and spices can travel together. All quantities are indicative and confirmed per order.
Can a preferential certificate of origin reduce our import duty?
A preferential certificate of origin (AIFTA Form AI) can reduce a Malaysian buyer's import duty. We provide it as part of your export documentation; your applicable duty position is confirmed by your customs broker per order.
What documentation do you provide for Malaysian import clearance?
We provide the origin documentation your Malaysia MAQIS import permit and phytosanitary clearance require — commercial invoice with HS code, packing list, certificate of origin including AIFTA Form AI, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation / ISPM-15 records, and CoA or lab reports. Full export documentation is available on request, and certification programmes can be arranged for qualifying orders on request.
