A practical planning guide for our Tamil Nadu and South Indian range: what buyers should specify, what we check and what is confirmed before every order.
Crop, season, source, destination rules and buyer requirements affect the final grade, pack and documents. Values from government guidance are identified as references; an actual lot meets a value only when it is tested or verified for that consignment.
Own farm + order-based sourcingOur own farm grows coconut, with additional quantities sourced according to order needs in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The buyer should confirm the intended use because tender, mature, fully husked and semi-husked coconuts require different maturity, packing and transport decisions.
| Origin | Tamil Nadu / Kerala; exact source confirmed per lot |
|---|---|
| MOQ | 1 × 20ft FCL, confirmed per order |
| Lot checks | Form, maturity, visible damage, sprouting, cracks, count/weight and packing |
| Shelf life | Confirmed only after form, maturity, packing, temperature and route are agreed |
Mandi and grading-centre buyingThe range includes drumstick/moringa, okra, brinjal, onion and shallots, gourds, roots, chilli, curry leaves, coriander, mint and traditional South Indian vegetables. For this category, a single generic grade is not useful; the specification must be crop-specific.
| Origin | Tamil Nadu / Kerala; source confirmed per order |
|---|---|
| MOQ | Typically 1 × 20ft FCL; mixed/LCL feasibility confirmed per order |
| Lot checks | Identity, freshness, maturity, size band, damage/decay, packing weight and temperature plan |
| Packaging reference | APEDA publishes crop-specific 5 kg and 10 kg corrugated-box references for several vegetables; final pack follows buyer and route requirements |
Season and maturity matterOur farm grows banana and mango. The wider range is sourced to order. Tamil Nadu mango varieties commonly referenced by the National Horticulture Board include Banganapalli, Bangalora/Totapuri, Neelum, Rumani and Mulgoa; the exact variety and source must be confirmed for the shipment.
| Banana examples | Nendran, Red Banana, Poovan, Robusta, Rasthali and other varieties subject to availability |
|---|---|
| Mango examples | Banganapalli, Totapuri/Bangalora, Neelum, Rumani, Imam Pasand and Malgova/Mulgoa subject to season and source |

| Lot checks | Variety, size/count, maturity, firmness, visible defects, pack and temperature plan |
Kolli Hills & Tamil Nadu sourcingFor black pepper, turmeric and dry chilli, appearance alone is not sufficient. Buyers should define both the physical grade and any chemical, residue or microbiological limits required by their destination.
FSSAI's spice guidance lists maximum moisture after drying of 13% for whole black pepper, 12% for whole turmeric and 11% for whole chilli/capsicum. These are reference limits, not an untested lot claim. Destination or buyer limits may be stricter, and the agreed lot must be tested when a report is required.

These windows help a buyer plan an enquiry. Weather, variety, farm cycle and market arrivals determine actual availability.
Form, maturity and weekly volume confirmed against the current farm/source lot.
TNAU records different planting periods by production system and some tissue-culture planting through much of the year. Variety and harvest week remain order-specific.
Plan enquiries ahead of the Tamil Nadu mango season; variety-specific harvest and export windows are confirmed before booking.
TNAU notes May–June planting for Tamil Nadu conditions. Fresh harvest timing and cured-stock availability are confirmed separately.
Many lines have repeated market arrivals, while specific greens, gourds and roots vary by season, rain and temperature.
Availability depends on crop year, stored lot, mill or production slot rather than a single harvest month.
This is the operating workflow we can apply without claiming an owned packhouse or laboratory.
Record product, variety, destination, quantity, grade, packing, timeline and required certificates/tests before sourcing.
Choose the owned-farm lot, mandi/grading centre, trusted procurement centre, mill or partner production centre appropriate to the order.
Confirm identity, visible condition, available quantity and the measurable criteria relevant to that product. Share sample photographs or a physical sample when agreed.
Separate material outside the agreed size, maturity, appearance or defect tolerance. The exact acceptance rule comes from the approved specification.
Confirm food-contact pack, ventilation/protection, net weight, units per carton, marks, label content and destination-language requirements.
Arrange relevant analysis through an appropriate external laboratory when the buyer or destination requires it. Test scope and acceptance limits are agreed before testing.
Check packed quantity, carton markings, available lot/packing photographs and the agreed commercial/export documents before freight handover.
Retain the order specification, source/lot reference, packing details and applicable reports so questions can be traced back to the consignment.
Halal, organic, non-GMO, residue-free, pesticide-free, laboratory-tested, certified packhouse and similar claims are used only when a valid certificate or lot-specific report supports them. “Available on request” means feasibility will be checked; it does not mean every document automatically applies to every product or destination.
Tell us the product, grade, packing, quantity, destination and required documents. We will confirm what is feasible for the order.
